Past June, Geert Bosscher joined our sales department. Geert is born and raised in the north and will therefore focus on that area of the Netherlands. We do not (yet) know much about our new sales manager, so we are very curious about how Geert feels about his new job. How does he like working at an organization on the other side of the country? And how many of our typical southern delicacies has he eaten already? Read the interview below and get to know Geert a little more!
Hey Geert! Could your briefly tell us who you are and what you do?
I’m Geert Bosscher, 39 years old. I was born in Heerenveen, where I still live with my girlfriend Lisanne and our two kids Finn and Tess. I used to ice skate at a high level and have played in the first team of our local soccer club for a long time. These days, however, I’m preferring recreational skiing.
When did you start working here and what did you learn so far?
I’ve been working at SHERPA for two months now, but I have worked in sales for more than fifteen years. The past eight years I was employed at Wacker Neuson, a company that also trades in capital goods. I’ve developed a real passion for machines there, so I’m very happy to work with the same products at SHERPA. The type of clients in this industry also suits me well.
What do you like most about working at SHERPA mini-loaders?
The first impression I have of SHERPA is very positive. Short lines of communication, quick decision-making, and fun colleagues! I also like working at a real family business that even has its own production location. I must admit, though, I really need to get used to the southern accent ..
What do you want to accomplish in the future here?
Together with Daan, I want to get everyone in the Netherlands on a SHERPA! The skid-steer loader is not that well-known in the North of the Netherlands, so I want to focus extra on that. In addition, I want to expand the Dutch market for our articulated loaders. Which will be an easy job considering they are such excellent quality machines!
